UM KIZUNA BASKETBALL CLUB OFFICIALLY BEGINS OPERATING
As part of the sports development work laid out in Uudam Mongol School's strategic plan, the school's UM KIZUNA BASKETBALL CLUB has officially begun operating, and the school signed a formal contract today with B. Ulziibat as the club's coach.
Coach B. Ulziibat has worked as a basketball coach since 2018, and:
• Has been named Best Coach at the national championship a total of 11 times
• Served as head coach of “Umnugovi Yoluud,” a team in the national premier league
• Has coached national youth teams at the U11, U12, U13, and U14 levels.
The club's goal isn't simply to teach basketball, but to develop children systematically, matched to their age and skill level, with an eye toward eventually training athletes capable of playing on the school's varsity team.
The club's basketball circle starts on September 14 and will meet three days a week on a regular schedule; the registration link was sent last week to the email addresses on file for parents.
One training day each week is planned jointly with athletes from the school's varsity team, so that circle students can train alongside more advanced players and learn from their team play, discipline, and training culture — not just do drills on their own.
We aim to develop our school's sports program not simply by assembling a team whenever a competition comes up, but through a staged system —
CIRCLE → SYSTEMATIC TRAINING → SCHOOL VARSITY TEAM → HIGH-LEVEL COMPETITION AND FURTHER OPPORTUNITY
— building up through these stages, one at a time.
This is one part of the work under Uudam Mongol School's strategic plan to discover and develop every child's talents and interests, and to pair academics with the development of sport.
Through basketball, we want our children to learn not just technique and skill, but teamwork, self-discipline, resilience, how to accept both winning and losing gracefully, and persistence in working toward a goal.
A NEW ERA FOR UUDAM MONGOL BASKETBALL STARTS HERE.
WHAT IS YOUR CHILD'S DREAM?
