Director's Message

Dear parents, students, staff, and everyone visiting Uudam Mongol School’s website — a warm welcome to you all.

Every parent hopes their child will live a healthy, happy life and have the strength to build the future they want, on their own terms. I believe education is the sturdiest foundation for reaching that future.

Education is not only about teaching lessons and preparing students for exams. It is the process by which a child comes to know themselves, tell right from wrong, respect others, and take responsibility for their choices and actions. It is this conviction that led me to found Uudam Mongol School.

One distinctive feature of our philosophy is the thoughtful blending of the strengths of Mongolian and Japanese education and upbringing. From the Japanese educational environment, we aim to instill in our students a sense of responsibility, consistent effort, resilience under pressure, and meticulous attention to detail.

At the same time, we hold dear the qualities shaped by Mongolian history, way of life, and environment — the ability to adapt quickly to new conditions, creative and free-spirited thinking, the capacity to see problems broadly, and the ability to make independent decisions.

We do not aim to copy Japanese education wholesale, nor to change what is naturally Mongolian in our children. Rather, we want to anchor the creative, open-minded thinking of Mongolian children with discipline and responsibility, and pair a broad perspective with careful planning and the follow-through to carry new ideas out consistently.

In this way, a child becomes not just a good student, but a citizen who takes pride in their country’s language, history, and culture, and who can study, work, and compete on equal footing anywhere in the world.

Every child has different talents, interests, pace of learning, and future goals. That is why we do not compare children against one another — instead, we help each one discover their own strengths, improve on who they were yesterday, and build their own path toward their dreams.

A good school is not the work of the director and teachers alone. It is a unified environment in which students, parents, teachers, and staff share a common purpose and take on responsibility together. At the center of this cooperation must always be the child’s rights, safety, and development.

We will work steadily, through education, to help every child realize their dreams, and through knowledge, to raise citizens who contribute to the development of their country.
