CHESS PROGRAM LAUNCHES FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
As part of Uudam Mongol School's strategic plan to “develop the primary curriculum and expand instructional hours,” a CHESS PROGRAM for students in grades 1–5 begins this week.
We see chess as more than a game to learn how to play — it's part of building, from an early age, children's logical thinking, focus, patience, ability to weigh multiple options when solving a problem, and ability to reason through the consequences of their choices.
The chess program is run in partnership with the IQ EQ Center, whose professional instructors will lead the lessons. Rather than measuring its success only by whether classes were held, we will track students' participation, knowledge, skills, and progress on an ongoing basis, and report results to parents REGULARLY.
In this way, for the 2026–2027 school year, Uudam Mongol School's primary curriculum won't stop at the core subjects — it will keep expanding, step by step, with additional content that systematically builds children's thinking and life skills.
This is a concrete part of implementing Uudam Mongol School's strategic plan to discover and develop every child's talents, interests, and thinking abilities from an early age.
