We're starting the first day of the new school year with happy news.
N. Tuvshinsaikhan, a grade 8B student at Uudam Mongol School, has received an official invitation from a school in Japan to study there on a scholarship and continue training in sumo wrestling.
N. Tuvshinsaikhan is from Uvurkhangai Province, the son of provincial champion J. Naranbaatar, and has trained in sumo wrestling since age 9. Three years ago, when he enrolled at Uudam Mongol School, he came with a clear goal and dream — to train regularly with the school's sumo wrestling club and eventually go on to study and compete in sumo in Japan.
Today, that dream has reached its next, concrete step.
We don't choose our children's dreams for them. But once a child has found their own dream, we see it as the school's role to build the right environment, the right habits, and real opportunities, and to support them steadily in reaching it.
Congratulations to Tuvshinsaikhan — we wish him every success on this new path in Japan and in his future goals in sumo wrestling.
